We enjoyed the visit to Rajput. I'm glad we finally got to meet the people who deliver us delicious food via DD. Further, the customer service was amazing! Very hospitable. The buffet style was quite different than what we're use to. However, I love the strategy to serve the dishes that we'd like to eat, instead of self-serving. It's different. But it seems to work well. And I embrace it. :) We'll definitely be back.
Got the lunch all you can eat, I believe around $19 before tax ($22 after tax) and it was very tasty and fast. The employees load a tray up with whatever of the options you want, I believe there were 8 mains, 2 rices, and a handful of toppings as well. Great service very kind and helpful considering I don’t know much about Indian food aside from butter chicken.

I usually get spice level 4 and never find it spicy enough. Always delicious but never quite the Indian kick I need. So today I got spice level 5 and guys IT DID ME RIGHT! We just love this place! Their customer service is excellent, & so is their food. I like their chat papri & the thali platters. The greenbrier location is convenient and fast. We just learned they even have an all you can eat lunch buffet!!

I was craving something warm in the winter, and the curry was so comforting and delicious. I also ordered ginger tea because I felt like I might be coming down with a cold, and it was incredibly tasty and made me feel much better. Next time, I’ll come back with my wife. It was such a great experience.
This place was great! We got vegetable samosas, goat pasanda curry, roti with butter, and mango juice. They even gave us a complimentary mango yogurt drink since I wasn’t sure which one to choose. Will definitely come back!
I was traveling from out of town, and with a free schedule decided to stop in to Rajput Indian Eats for a late lunch. It did not disappoint, the food was phenomenal, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very homey. When I make my next trip down to Chesapeake, I will certainly be stopping here again!

Excellent and flavorful food all around! Loved the Naan and Pratha, got both with cheese and onion! Veggie Samosa, Veggie Fried Rice, White Rice, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Kebob, and Chicken Tikka Masala are all fantastic as well, particularly loved the savory and tender perfectly-seasoned lamb! Orders over $30 come with complimentary Kheer, which is great, and we got the Gulab Jamun as well, which is excellent!

Delicious hot and ready food
We tried a bunch of dishes and everything was super tasty—especially the samosa chaat and chole bhature. The portions were big enough for two people to share. The staff were really friendly and quick. Overall, had a great time!
This is my GO- TO place to treat myself to such yummy food whenever I have the chance! The service is amazing, the food is FANTASTIC, and the smell of fennel or fenugreek when you walk is is delightful. Go!! Or order pick up! You will not be disappointed. I especially love the Chaat Papri without the crisps and with extra yogurt:) The Naan filled with Potatoes and peas is MY Favorite! And the Samosas….sauces…Tikka Masala I mean…it’s all great now- I’m going to drink their Mango juice and I can’t wait to get home and eat!

Just tried Rajput Indian for the first time with takeout, and wow—I’m impressed! I got the Paratha and the Vegetable Jalfrezi Naan Pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold, fresh, and so satisfying! On top of that, the service was super fast, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving amazing Indian food with a unique twist, you have to check this place out. Highly recommend!

These dishes me and my wife had were so delicious! If you are vegan or vegetarian there are many options for you here. We had a bowl but next time I am definitely getting the Manchurian cauliflower. The service is beyond amazing to match the food. If you from out of town or have a hard time finding good food this will definitely be your spot.

Each visit is a culinary journey that transports us straight to the heart of India, and we find it hard to pick a favorite because everything simply tastes so good! Highly recommend if you are in the area. Butter Chicken, Cauliflower Manchurian, Garlic Naan & Samosas.
Very good... it's all you can eat buffet which is great but the only thing I don't like as much is it's not self serve but at the same time not that a big deal.

Absolutely delicious, it was my first time eating here and I expected the food to be OK but the buttered chicken and the chicken kebab tiki was absolutely delicious. It had great flavor and I will definitely be back. If you have the opportunity to eat at Rajput in Greenbrier, I would encourage it on a massive scale! Portions were more than this 220lb guy could finish. The picture is only half of what I got.
Amazing and delicious! Savory curries and kadhais, with a wide range of regional specialties. We really liked the lamb korma and kadhai, the goat dhansak (lentils), but our favorite was the creamy palak paneer. Spiced to your preference. Try the thick mango lassi. Our new go to!
I visited this place after almost a year and ordered the Hakka Noodles, which I had enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, the dish was completely tasteless this time. I shared my feedback with the guy at the front desk, and he was incredibly helpful. He communicated my concern to the chef and had a new plate made, but sadly, it still lacked flavor. I ended up packing the food and taking it home, only to throw it away later. I’m not sure what’s changed in the kitchen, but the food quality was very disappointing.

I am pretty new to Indian food so learning each time. We have been here 4 times now, trying something new each time and it has all been delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. We would definitely recommend trying them out!

I had their Chicken Biryani which was a large portion of delicious savory seasoned saffron rice loaded with spicy marinated chicken, caramelized onions, and a yogurt sauce on the side. It was also pleasantly topped with an egg. I asked them to make it spicy to kick up the flavor another notch. Yummy 😋 Atmosphere is non-fussy and unassuming. Front counter service very nice people. I liked that they had a variety of bottled drinks such as lychee, mango & coconut drinks, as well as a mango smoothie which looked good. Some beer and wine too, including the Rupee Pilsner. Thanks I'll be back again when I'm in the area!
Second time coming here, the food is amazing. The Staff are courteous and punctual. My favorite is the lamb kebab and the garlic naan. It’s a must!

This Restaurant is located at the intersection of Greenbrier parkway and Eden way north in Crossways Market Center 135. The restaurant is easily accessible from Eden way north and Greenbrier parkway and easily accessible from 1-64. This is the first Indian Restaurant in chesapeake city . They’re open six days a week from 11am to 3pm and 4pm to 9pm Tuesday closed. The cook the food with their own spices so the flavor of the food is traditional. They have variety of food including wraps, traditional Indian vegetarian and non vegetarian and also Indian street food. You can find food from Afghans foods, naan’s and biryani and hot drinks and shakes also. There customer service is excellent. You can dine in,take out also. I really enjoyed their food I went on the grand opening ceremony I love it.
+14Stopped into Rajput today for lunch with my brother. This was my first time here. Not crowded and was able to order and be seated very fast. My brother and I both ordered the vegetarian Thali plates which included a choice of vegetarian entrees and a salad and sauces. I selected mixed vegetables and paneer for my entrees, and mixed lettuce, pickled onions and shredded coconut slaw for my salad and mint chutney for my sauce. I also made an order for 1 garlic naan to share with my brother. He ordered the same salad but mixed vegetables and Channa Masala for his entrees. Both Thali plates come with either fried vegetable rice or basmati rice and roti. Flavors were delicious, perfect spice level on the mixed vegetables and Channa Masala. I particularly loved the paneer. It had a lovely taste and perfect firmness with a nice citrus brightness. The garlic naan was exactly as I love, plenty of garlic and perfect thickness. I also completely enjoyed an after-lunch cardamom chai, you should try one! The owner, Paul, is a genuine joy to talk with and an awesome chef. Overall this was an excellent experience and I will return if in the area again. Thank you for a great experience Rajput.

Delicious and I got a platter and it was filling and my lady got chicken biryani level 2 spicy and it was delicious and filling. And I like level five spicy and this was pretty spicy but perfect for us. Garlic naan was awesome too

Highly recommend! I think this is a new location for Chesapeake- it felt new and clean! The food was extremely fresh and delicious. They do not have servers/waiters- You order food at the counter and can see and choose from different toppings and items depending on your dish. Some items are prepared fresh in back and take a few minutes but worth the wait! They have a self serve canned and bottled beverage cooler, even offering a few wine and beer items. Check them out!

I unfortunately didn't get any pictures because we were so focused on eating. This was some of the best Indian food I've had. Definitely a new favorite place. Definitely on my list of places I recommend. My food was exceptional. I got the spice level of three on my Chicken Tikka Masala and it's perfect.

+9I’m SO glad Rajput opened up a location in Chesapeake. The Norfolk location is amazing and the street vendor option that Chesapeake offers is right what I needed and expected. The flavors were authentic and delicious. The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The menu options are great and you can really tell the quality of ingredients in the dishes as soon as they hit the table. Give the typical street vendor foods a try, like the Aloo gobhi, the vegetable samosa, the tikka Masala chicken curry bowl and butter chicken. Pick up some roti and garlic naan to go with your food! You won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoyed the food. I got the platter because I wanted to try as much as possible. I also ordered a side of garlic naan. It was all delicious and the people were very friendly and personable. If you like Indian cuisine, definitely come try this place. I took the leftovers home and got 2 meals out of this!

First time visiting this cozy Indian cuisine place. The food was full of flavor. I got the chicken Tikka masala and butter chicken with basmati rice and veggies. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Will be back again.
Quick and excellent tasting food
We ordered dinner to go, and this was some of the best Indian food we've had; everything was so flavorful! Tastiest shrimp biryani in town, with large tender pieces of shrimp! The vegetable samosas were filling, cooked perfectly, and not greasy like most places we've had here. The garlic naan was also amazing, and we highly recommend that anybody gets when they visit. And the most wonderful thing was the manager special made lamb korma and it was fantastic! The food, the service and the value was top knotch and if I could rate Rajput higher, I would!
Some of the best food in Chesapeake, I reckon. Rajput provides customers the 'fast casual' approach (similar to Chipotle) in terms of their style of ordering. They provide a step-by-step process of what you can add. They also provide premade selections as well. I went ahead and went with a naan wrap. Exceptionally tasty, and loaded with flavor. The wraps are about 16" long so you can practically split the thing with two people. The staff are friendly, they don't speak loudly, but are willing and able to assist you, especially since the culinary is not familiar with the majority of locals; so, don't be afraid to go for it and ask what they would suggest to pair with your selection. Not much space inside, but the furniture is sturdy and the place is clean. I would also suggest trying one of the fried pyramid-shaped balls they have. Overall, you can't get delicious food like this on-the-go in Chesapeake so I definitely would love to see this little restaurant stay.
Went in on a Sunday shortly after they opened, was immediately warmly greeted and offered suggestions. Got curry bowl with a side order of samosa, my friend ordered a platter and a side order of garlic naan. Everything was amazing, fresh and delicious!
Nestled in-between these ridiculously small shops is Rajputs. Quick, cheap, and delicious Indian fare at a fair price. We saw they opened back on the 3rd and decided to stop in. We each had the same thing, hilarious enough. We started with the vegetable fried basmati rice, which was ever fragrant with spices. Piled on top was the Chana masala, with its "meaty"portions of chick peas and grana masala spices. We both added butter chicken, rich and savory gravy, and the chicken appears to be skewered and cooked in house. Finally, we added a small refreshing salad, I opted for a samosa too (crispy and stuffed with peas and potatoes), and we each armed ourselves with hearty dipping sauces (tangy yogurt, mint for me and sweet and sour tamarind) for our lentil chips (papidad). Lastly...the Naan. Oh the garlic Naan! Served piping hot and sprinkled with just the right amount of garlic, butter and parsley. A perfect quick stop for food and a great substitute for the more expensive, and snootier Indian restaurants. A preferred go to for street food!
5 stars because the food was good and I have no complaints. My only comment is that I feel for it to taste more like traditional Indian food, there should be more spice. People who like and enjoy Indian food are used to it being hot. I like it “the hotter, the better”! Overall, I enjoyed each of the items I had. The staff was very friendly and walked around asking if everything was okay which I thought was a nice touch. Will definitely go here regularly for lunch as it’s close to work.
Got the chicken Makhni (butter chicken) as a bowl on top of the rice with the baked chips , garlic Naan and the Kheer rice pudding. There a good amount of food for the bowl and it was hot and delicious. The garlic Naan was exceptional! Lots of vegetarian options great atmosphere. Perfect for a quick delicious sit down meal!

If you feel like you want to try a new food genre do not hesitate to go hereAs someone with twenty five years in fine dining and a culinary degree, I visited Rajput in Greenbrier today and ordered across the menu to assess their execution. They offer spice levels one through five, which allows for proper dish-specific calibration. The goat vindaloo at level four is exceptional, properly balanced heat that doesn’t mask the underlying spice complexity, and the meat is cooked to tenderness without becoming stringy. Top three I’ve had globally. The chicken biryani at level three is where it needs to be. At level four, the heat overwhelms the subtle aromatics and the rice loses its individual grain texture. The chicken tikka masala demonstrates restraint in the cream sauce, which is rare, most places lean too heavy and drown out the underlying tomato and spice layers. Each component reads distinctly. The spiced rice beneath carries its own integrity instead of just soaking up sauce. But the butter chicken is where they’re really showing their chops. I’ve eaten it in fine dining establishments across the world, and most places either over-reduce the sauce until it’s cloying, or they under-season it to appeal to Western palates. This one is balanced perfectly, the butter and cream carry the spice without masking it, and there’s an acidity underneath that keeps it from becoming heavy. Their craft beers and lassi are solid. We had an errand to run close by and were both hungry. It was nearing our dinner time, and neither of us had eaten a meal, yet. So we drove around the nearby shopping centers and happened upon Rajput. The inside was casual, yet inviting, with an easy to read menu on display above a counter filled with delicious offerings. I had a difficult time making a choice, as I wanted a taste of everything, which was possible if I had chosen the all you can eat buffet. However, realizing I knew I would completely blow the diet that I recently started if I did that, so I opted for their customizable curry bowl selection. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely patient with my slow decisions, as he kindly explained my options. My two mains for the bowl were chicken curry and tofu Manchurian over vegetable rice, with an accompaniment of assorted sides and garnishes. Being gluten-free, there was ample to choose from. The bowl was plentiful … enough to have some leftover to bring home. (I ate 1/2 to preserve my diet, and that was my quite filling.) I also enjoyed a house-made watermelon drink with dinner and a delicious green cardamom chai after. My husband got a similar bowl, but opted for butter chicken instead of the curry. The price was quite reasonable for all that we got. We had wonderful service from the very friendly and helpful person behind the counter. I really wish I had asked him his name. He was beyond pleasant, and made our experience even more enjoyable. I hope he forgives me for not mentioning him by name here. I thank him very much for his knowledge of and attention to gluten-free criteria. He just “got it” right from the start without needing me to launch any explanations. I usually avoid mango drinks because of the texture. I don't like thick drinks since I get confused with "do I chew first and swallow or swallow?" The restaurant was clean and the gentlemen working the front area was extremely friendly and kind. One recommendation I would have is maybe adding a few pictures to the menu. Being new to Indian food it would be helpful to see what some of the dishes look like. One thing to note, I have heard that Indian spice levels tend to be above what we are used to in the US. So when asked what spice level I wanted (between 1-5) I selected a 3 expecting it to still be very spicy.
