An amazing restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and perfect service. All the food is deliciously captivating, with flavors and spices that put a party in your mouth. Their desserts are authentic and delicious! Along with the authentic food is a beautiful atmosphere with paintings, comfortable chairs, and cozy lighting. The service is wonderful and quick, with polite and welcoming people. Lovely place! One of my favorites to eat at!

The food was absolutely phenomenal. Im obsessed. Vegan and gluten free options clearly marked and waiter was very knowledgeable. The tofu was homemade and my mojito was dangerously good. We will be back and soon.

The best Indian food I had in Hampton Roads. The menu has a lot to offer. They also have great Vegan options on the menu. I had the Chana Chaat, and it felt just like the ones I use to have back home. The chicken kadhai was so yummy. Definitely my favorite restaurant in town.

My husband and I LOVE Rajput! We have tried making Indian food at home, and it's good, but NOTHING compares to Rajput. We especially love when we can take the afternoon to go to the lunch buffet so we can try a couple of dishes we wouldn't normally order, and they are delicious, too!

I ordered the Tikki Masala (3) with goat and naan. I loved the spices and how the the heat was heat from the spices were not overpowering. I wish I had taken a picture before, but hopefully this will let you know how it tasted.
This is a must have on your Resturant list place. The food is excellent. The people smile and are so nice (which is rare these days) atmosphere is so relaxing so beware of getting too comfy after experiencing all that this restaurant has to offer. I had the mango tofu (substituted with chicken) and I enjoyed every last bite. Also the mango daiquiri could have easily passed for dessert.
I had a wonderful conversation with Mr. Chhabra while I waited for my food. It was a great opportunity and he was very kind. I have been to Rajput in Suffolk several times now and look forward to trying the Chesapeake location! Loved the vegetable korma, the chana chaat, and the mango lassi 🇮🇳

When I walked into this restaurant, the aroma alone had my mouth watering! The smell of spices was amazing. I loved the ambiance. We were seated immediately, and our drink order was taken. Soon after that we placed our food order with a very nice young lady. I had curry lamb chops, and my husband had tikka misala chicken. Both were absolutely divine. Generous portions, meat seasoned to perfection even without the sauce, and the Naan garlic bread was the perfect compliment. We both had plenty food to take home, and the carryout tins are perfect to pop in the oven for reheating. I am so glad I found this place and will be back to try every single dish. Next up, green curry lamb chops! Great staff, great food, great experience.

Date night with my lovely wife. We had the Green Curry with Lamb, and Butter Chicken. As always, absolutely delicious! And oh so filling. I highly recommend Rajput!
Very delicious Indian food from various regions in India. I thoroughly enjoyed my Bhartha and the naan and raita were heavenly! My husband loved his mixed tandoori grill. Can’t wait to try the brunch buffet!

The new location has a beautiful atmosphere, it gives off a comfortable romantic feel. They recently brought beautiful dishes from India that made the meal so much more enjoyable. My boy friend and I got the Lamb Vindaloo and Tikka Masala with an appetizer of garlic naan. It was so delicious! I also recommend the Chai tea to enjoy with your curry. We were welcomed right away with kind staff and had a wonderful conversation with the manager.
::NEW LOCATION:: We love going to Rajput and their nee location is really nice. We came on a Friday at 6:30. Nice atmosphere with the music, and it's a good volume because we were a group of 6 and could all hear each other just fine. The restaurant is right in between 2 other great restaurants. Service Our waitress was very helpful in helping us pick something new and it was delicious. All the staff was very friendly. Our waitress and someone else checked in with us to make sure we everything was good. One of our plates was missing and he quickly went to the kitchen and got it. Food We're always happy with our choices. I had the Chicken Tikka Misala level 2 (medium) heat/spicy, so good. We ordered basket if the Naan variety for the table, those are delicious too. We also ordered an extra bowl of rice. We ordered Biryani with potato. It was delicious! The spices were so good. It was level 2 so not too spicy. It looked like a pot pie, because they bake a bread layer over it. Inside was rice with whatever you pick, could be a protien or vegetable. I could've gotten better photos, but everything was so good we ate it so quickly. This isn't fast food, so it takes little while like any restaurant cooking to your order. Parking There's plenty of parking, just the front area is small. The side of the building has plenty more. There's 3 restaurants in that short strip so that front parking gets full quick. Groups We had a group of 6, that doesn't seem too big to me, but the chairs and tables can move. There's also some booth tables available. They've always been very hospitable to us. They were easily able to give us all individual checks and we paid at the table. Your receipt can be printed receipt, emailed or texted to you. The tables are little narrow so ours got really crowded, but thats not a too big a deal. We just were careful not to knock something off. But that's also expected with a group of 6. More There is a small bar, but I've never ordered drinks here before. There's wine available too. They also had a TV playing sports, but it was muted. There's a separate room for private events. They serve a buffet during lunch. Take out is also available.

My good friend convinced me to try something new and for my first time eating Indian cuisine, this was a very good experience! 10/10 recommend. For appetizer we ordered Garlic Cilantro Naan, so delicious. We ordered another round for dinner. I ordered the Chicken Malai Kebab, cooked perfectly, with grilled vegetables and a side of masala sauce. My friend got the Chicken Tikka Masala, her favorite, and we shared a big bowl of basmati rice. I’ll be back soon!

Really good Indian food near Portsmouth. I ordered chicken tikka masala and saag paneer which came with basmati rice. I also ordered coconut rice and blue crabmeat biriyani which was so fragrant and delicious. They have really large portions. We came to pickup for dinner but it looks like they have a lunch buffet too. If you’re craving Indian food, this is the place to go!

Amazing Indian cuisine. The Naan bread is so good. This was my first time here. The Biryanni Chicken.(rice with chicken) is extremely flavorful and aromatic. I asked for mild since i dont like spicy foods. Mild is good does have a tingle but nothing too strong. The flavors alone are worth the try. I will definately recomend and be back.

Had a great time with family and new friends. This was our first experience trying Indian food. Our Bartender was name Basil and he made us some delicious drinks (Singapore Sling). The food was awesome and very flavorful. We will visit again and those vegetable plants. Basil grows them himself outside the restaurant. Green thumb to you Sr.!

Delicious food and relaxing environment
I have lived in Ghent for almost 10 years so I normally frequent that location. This was the second time I’ve been to the Suffolk location and it was by far my best experience ever. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the wait staff was friendly and fast. The baked chips and chutney was an excellent touch (their take on bread and butter).
This place is wonderful. It's very clean, the staff is prompt and polite, and the food is always amazing.
First time here today and it was wonderful. You can choose on a scale of 1-5 how spicy you want your food to be. I went with a 4 and it wasnt any hotter than a good Jerk Chicken. Dont get me wrong, you felt it, but it was a good heat. This a def be back.
Delicious food with rich aroma !! Lot of people think that spicy is all about hot food but actually the right spicy is rich in flavor and aroma which I liked in food served at Rajput Indian Cuisine. Great clean interior and comfortable seating made me sit for longer and enjoy music as well. We will certainly visit again and recommend this strongly to all.
+2Food was excellent! I had the hummus and Pasanda/Mogul Favorite with chicken, hot! The heat was just right. The Basmati rice (or Jasmine, I can't remember which) was super tender and was a perfect bed for the chicken. The service was great. I also found a new favorite sweet; the candied fennel at the register. It tastes like licorice, which I love! The atmosphere is great, bathrooms are clean. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the bathroom sink.
Rajput never fails to deliver. The food is delishous and the staff is great. They have a new menu and if you are very familiar with Indian food you can order some things off the menu as well. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious. Best take out Indian food I've had yet, but then I suppose you'd expect that from a place with multiple consumer awards. It was a little pricey for my taste, but worth it all things considered. The staff was very friendly and they do offer a military discount!

Tried Rajput in Suffolk today for the first time and it was great. We were seated almost immediately. The appetizers and food came out very fast and were piping hot. I loved the garlic naan and Lamb Kadai (extra extra hot). Arya was an awesome server; providing great recommendations and was very attentive!Always great food 🙂↕️DELICIOUS FOOD!!!I’ll admit that I haven’t had the highest opinions of restaurants in the Hampton Roads area, and never really gave this place a second thought while passing by. On a whim, I stopped here for dinner (not the buffet) and will say that I really couldn’t have been more impressed. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, which is something I generally consider important. But the food here really stands out as being great. The few dishes I tried (Tandoori chicken and tiger jumbo shrimp madras) were both excellent and had awesome flavor. If you like spicy food, you can definitely get some heat here if you want. The garlic naan was great, too, however my only real critique would be that I would prefer a little thicker naan, but that is just my personal preference. Their food has been reliably delicious, and I find their salt levels to be quite balanced. I'm not originally from this area, and I've found that a lot of the food around here tends to be overly salty for me, but Rajput gets it just right! When I get takeout, I usually gravitate towards rogan josh, jalfrezi, and the pratha--my cat fights me for the pratha! She loves it, too! A few days ago, I finally visited their new location to dine in for the first time and celebrate my birthday with a friend. We shared the eggplant bharta and the bhindi masala with appetizers. The food was, as always, wonderful, and the server and the owner went out of their way to make the evening feel special by bringing out two slices of cheesecake with mango sorbet and mango sauce. If you ever have a chance to chat with the owner, he's a delightful person to speak with. He was more than happy to talk to us about the work he put into the decor of his restaurant when we asked. I'm so glad that Rajput is in north Suffolk. They're my favorite place out here!
